What is the ruling regarding the viscous fluid that exits the male organ, and how does it affect ritual purity (tahara) and prayer (salat)?

This discharge could be semen (manī), pre-seminal fluid (madhī), or post-urination discharge (wadī), and each has its own rulings.

If you cannot distinguish, choose one and adhere to its rulings. If you choose it to be madhī or wadī: Wash the private parts and whatever it touched on the garment and body, then perform ablution (wudu’). If its discharge is continuous, your ruling is that of one afflicted with incontinence (ṣāḥib al-salas). If you choose it to be manī: You must perform ritual bathing (ghusl). If its discharge is continuous (incontinence), refer to the rulings on purification for incontinence.
