Is it permissible to delay the Friday prayer until just before the Asr prayer, with a congregation, due to the absence of a congregation at its [usual] time, or should one pray the Dhuhr prayer as a regular prayer at its [usual] time?

The time for Friday prayer begins and ends with the time for Dhuhr prayer, according to the majority of scholars. Friday prayer should not be delayed beyond its usual time except out of necessity. The questioner must perform it with the congregation. If he finds a congregation performing it at the beginning of its time, he should pray with them. If he only finds those who delay it, he should pray with them as long as the time remains.
