What were the qualities that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, intended by his saying, "I am to you as Abu Zar‘ was to Umm Zar‘"? And why did Abu Zar‘ divorce Umm Zar‘? And what are the good qualities for a husband that the Hadith refers to? And is it understood from it that Abu Zar‘ was a good husband?

In the Hadith of Umm Zar‘, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to 'Aishah: "(I was to you) like Abu Zar‘ was to Umm Zar‘," regarding good companionship, generous association, and enduring love and harmony. He emphasized this by saying: "Except that he divorced her, and I will not divorce you." The reason Abu Zar‘ divorced Umm Zar‘ was that he met a woman who pleased him, and she insisted until he divorced Umm Zar‘ and married her. The Hadith includes good qualities for a husband, such as: good companionship and joviality, presenting gifts to his wife, good spending, not disdaining her, holding onto her with kindness, taking care of her children, and choosing a good maid. Abu Zar‘ later regretted divorcing her.
