Should the husband divorce his wife or take her back after she confessed to speaking with another man and expressed her desire for a divorce, then regretted it and wished to return?

We advise you to be patient and not rush into taking your wife back until you are sure of her uprightness. If she returns to her senses, then keep her, treat her well, and raise her according to religion, and be a role model for her. But if she persists in her wrongdoing, then divorcing her is better. We also draw attention to the fact that a righteous wife safeguards her husband in his absence, as Allah Almighty stated: "So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard."
