The answer

Supplicating for concealment before committing a sin is a forbidden supplication, because it is a request for assistance in what is unlawful, and it is an transgression in supplication. Al-Qarafi mentioned that supplicating for the attainment of unlawful things is forbidden, a prohibition of means, and its degree of prohibition is the same as the degree of its object. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that transgression in supplication occurs by asking for what is not permissible to ask for, such as assistance in unlawful acts. What is incumbent upon the one who did that is to repent to Allah from the sin and the supplication and not to return to it.
