What is the ruling, in Islamic law, on benefiting from car accident insurance compensations?

If the beneficiary of the insurance is the insured himself, then refer to Fatwas no. 35277 and 33746. If the beneficiary is the one harmed by the insured, then refer to Fatwas no. 37012 and 54219.
