What is the origin of the disagreement between Imam Al-Albani and other scholars regarding the obligation of certain matters in prayer that Al-Albani considers obligatory, while others consider them recommended or Sunnah? And what is the preponderant opinion, with the mention of the reason?

Differences in jurisprudential branches are ancient, and Al-Albani adopted one of the sayings or synthesized between them. We mention the Maliki school of thought on some of these issues:

Seeking refuge from the torment of the grave and Hell: This is not obligatory according to the majority of scholars, and this is the adopted view. Praying upon the family of Muhammad and Ibrahim and his family: This is a Sunnah in the second tashahhud, not the first, and some say it is obligatory in the second. The first tashahhud and sitting for it: These are among the lesser components of prayer, and leaving them is compensated for by the prostration of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw). The second tashahhud, praying upon the Prophet, and sitting for both: These are obligatory, and the prayer is not valid without them. Sitting for the tashahhud: No specific posture is obligatory for it, and the Sunnah is to keep the right foot upright and spread the left foot in the first tashahhud, and to perform tawarruk (sitting with the left foot under the right thigh) in the second. Ruku' (bowing): The worshiper bends so that he can place the palms of his hands on his knees. Saying "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah" (Allah hears those who praise Him) and all other takbeers of transition, and "Rabbana lakal hamd" (Our Lord, to You be praise): These are Sunnah. Sujud (prostration): This is performed on seven limbs: the forehead, the nose, the hands, the knees, and the soles of the feet. Sutrah (barrier), drawing near to it, and repelling passersby: These are recommended.
