Did Gabriel, peace be upon him, embody himself in the form of Dihyah al-Kalbi, and if so, where would Dihyah al-Kalbi be at that time?

Dihyah al-Kalbi was a famous Companion, though he did not participate in Badr. He was an example of handsomeness, and he was the Prophet's (peace be upon him) messenger to Caesar. He witnessed Yarmouk and lived until the caliphate of Mu'awiyah.

Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a form resembling Dihyah al-Kalbi, but he did not inhabit his body. The Prophet (peace be upon him) saw Gabriel in his angelic form only twice.

This resemblance does not mean that Gabriel (peace be upon him) became Dihyah al-Kalbi, or that he transformed into a human being.
