Is it permissible to abandon congregational prayer on the pretext that the Imam is paid a salary, and must the Imam receive his salary from the government?

Congregational prayer is obligatory for able-bodied men. There is no sin upon the Imam who receives a salary from the government or stipends from people if he does not stipulate it. The Imam is not to be criticized for this, and it is not permissible to abandon praying behind him, even if he is a dissolute person. Rather, it is obligatory to advise those who lag behind from the congregation.
