What should one do who has unintentionally eaten food that is not theirs, and is he required to donate its value in charity?

One must refrain from eating food known to be impermissible and return the remainder to its owners. What has been eaten must be guaranteed, unless its owners pardon it. If they do not pardon it, then donating its value is not sufficient except when it is impossible to reach them.
