هل حذف عمر بن الخطاب "حي على خير العمل" من الأذان؟

It has not been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he taught "Hayya 'ala Khair al-Amal (Hasten to the best of deeds)" in the Adhan, even if it was authentically reported from some companions that they sometimes said it. It is not established that it was part of the Adhan during the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and Abu Bakr. And Umar ibn al-Khattab ordered its removal, except for what Al-Shawkani narrated from some of the Ahl al-Bayt, who reported its affirmation as attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and that it was part of the Adhan during his era and was only omitted during the time of Umar.

Those who affirmed it argued with what was mentioned in the books of the Ahl al-Bayt, such as "Amali Ahmad ibn Isa," "Al-Tajrid," "Al-Ahkam," and "Jami' Aal Muhammad," and with what Al-Bayhaqi narrated from Abdullah ibn Umar, Ali ibn al-Husayn, Zayd ibn Arqam, and Abu Umamah ibn Sahl.

The majority responded to the evidence for its affirmation by stating that the authentic Hadiths of the Adhan are devoid of it, and if it is true that it was the original Adhan, then it is abrogated.
