What are the accredited books of Hadith commentaries?

The reliable commentaries on Hadith are numerous. Some of them were mentioned in Fatwas No. 55691 and No. 78963. The questioner can refer to Chapter 29 of the Introduction to Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi by al-Mubarakfuri, titled "Mentioning the Famous Books of Hadith Commentaries." Additionally, there are transcribed lessons by Sheikh Abd al-Kareem al-Khudair comparing the commentaries on the six books of Sunnah. Reliable commentaries are also available on our website and in the comprehensive library (al-Maktaba al-Shamilah). The books of Hadith that have the most comprehensive commentaries are: Muwatta Malik, the two Sahihs, Sunan Abi Dawud, and Sunan al-Tirmidhi.
