How authentic is the Hadith: "Jihad will remain sweet and fresh as long as rain falls from the sky, and a time will come upon people when reciters among them will say: 'This is not a time for Jihad.' So whoever reaches that time, then it is an excellent time for Jihad." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, will anyone say that?" He said, "Yes, those whom Allah, the angels, and all people have cursed"?

This hadith was narrated by Al-Dani in "Al-Sunan Al-Waridah fi Al-Fitan" with his chain of transmission from Zayd ibn Aslam, who was a Tabi'i and did not meet the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Therefore, his narration from him is mursal (a narration in which a Tabi'i narrates directly from the Prophet without mentioning an intervening Companion), and mursal narrations are a type of weak hadith. It was also narrated by Ibn Asakir with another narration that includes Yazid Al-Raqashi, who is abandoned (matruk), and its weakness was pointed out by the author of "Kanz Al-Ummal."
