What is the ruling on a committed girl working in an internet cafe that sometimes requires her to download songs and movies for customers, while the owner forces her to do so despite her desire to refuse, given that she also receives requests to download religious materials?
A woman working in a place that sells prohibited items must refrain from loading them, and she should explain the impermissibility of such an act to her employer, based on the words of Allah Almighty: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." If the employer insists, she must leave the job and seek lawful employment, in fulfillment of the words of Allah Almighty: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect." And the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, you will not abandon anything for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, except that Allah will replace it with something better for you than it." If she is compelled to work and finds no alternative, she is permitted to continue working while diligently striving to find an alternative.
