Is a girl’s marriage to the man who proposed to her, despite her parents’ rejection—because he is not Pakistani—considered a sin, deserving of punishment from Allah, knowing that she fears falling into the forbidden?

The girl must fear Allah and know that suicide is a major sin. The treatment for psychological illnesses is through remembrance of Allah (dhikr), obedience (to Allah), and consulting specialists. The guardian should marry off his ward to a righteous and competent man. He is not permitted to prevent her from marrying him simply because he is of another nationality; otherwise, he would be an oppressor (adil), and oppression necessitates the transfer of guardianship. If the suitor is competent and the guardian refuses to marry her off to him, then if her brother marries her off, the marriage is valid. However, if the guardian is justified in his refusal due to the existence of an impediment, then the marriage is not valid without his consent.
