What is the ruling on selling ornamental contracts to women, and is it permissible to sell them only to committed women, and does it take the ruling of selling gold?

The basic principle regarding the sale of necklaces is that it is permissible, unless the seller knows or has strong reason to believe that the buyer will use them for unlawful purposes. In such a case, the sale is not permissible because it constitutes aiding in sin. However, selling them to someone who is ignorant of how to use them, or to women who are committed to religious observance, is permissible. There is no difference between gold and other materials, but for gold, immediate possession (hand-to-hand exchange) is a condition for its sale.
