A company authorizing a person to sell its goods for a commission is permissible. The agent may sell the goods for their market value or more; otherwise, he is liable for the deficiency.
If the remuneration is a percentage of the profit, the majority of jurists prohibit this. However, some scholars, such as Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Sirin, have permitted it.
