Does the congregant's poor performance of ablution affect the Imam's recitation, and is this a matter of the unseen?

The aforementioned Hadith (definition) implies that if a congregant (ma'mum) does not perform ablution (tahoor) properly, the ill-effect of this may rebound upon the Imam, such that Satan finds an easy way to confuse him in his recitation. Therefore, whoever attends the prayer should perform ablution properly, so that its ill-effect does not rebound upon the other congregants. This does not mean that the Imam automatically knows about the congregant's impurity, as this is an unseen matter for the Imam and others. The Prophet (peace be upon him) knowing it might be due to his prior knowledge that improper ablution could lead to this, or his knowledge could have been through revelation.
