Is it permissible to supplicate, seek forgiveness, or recite the Qur’an and dedicate the reward to those who have material or moral rights over me, and from whom I am unable to ask for forgiveness?

It is obligatory to return financial rights to their owners or to seek their absolution, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever has wronged his brother concerning his honor or anything else, let him seek his forgiveness today before there is no dinar or dirham." As for moral rights, if you cannot ask for forgiveness from their owners for fear of a greater harm, then strive to supplicate for them and seek Allah's forgiveness for them. There is a difference of opinion regarding the permissibility of donating the reward of reciting the Qur'an to others.
