The expiation for an oath is to feed ten poor persons, or to clothe them, or to free a slave. If one is unable, then he should fast for three days. The feeding must be from the average food of the people, approximately 750 grams of the staple food of the land, and it is more cautious to give about one and a half kilograms. It is also sufficient to feed the poor person one meal for lunch and dinner. If the questioner feeds the four poor persons with the sufficient amount of food, that is enough, bearing in mind that giving the monetary value is not sufficient according to the majority of scholars.
