What should be done, and what mistake did the parents make in light of Islam, after their experience of sending their children to "Dar al-Ulum" —where their daughter was mistreated by those in charge, one of their sons refused to return to the school after they came home, and all the children became rebellious, resentful, and blamed their parents for ruining their lives— led to the parents feeling regret, frustration, and anxiety about their children's future?

In light of the problem that occurred with your daughter after she was sent to study Islamic sciences, the following is advised:

1. Get closer to your children: Sit with them, be frank with them, learn about their desires, and make them feel that they are part of the solution to the problem. Exert effort to correct any misunderstanding due to previous shortcomings.

2. Integrate them with the Muslim community: Find righteous friends for them.

3. Continue their Islamic education: Through Islamic centers, open universities, or by bringing someone to teach them.

4. Send the rebellious child to another institution for education: So that he can fulfill his desire and reduce tension in the home.

5. Search for a means of distance learning: Such as online studies.

6. Constantly pray for their righteousness and success.

7. Consider the entire family relocating: If necessary for your children to continue their studies and overcome the crisis, then sacrificing that is easier than sacrificing your children and their future.

8. Consult righteous and virtuous people: Those who are close to you and are aware of your children's situation.
