What is the ruling on selling "try your luck" boxes that contain a variety of sweets and children's toys, where the content of each box differs from the other?

This type of sale of goods with unknown contents (sealed boxes whose contents are unknown) is impermissible, because it lacks the condition of knowing the sold item through sight or description. It is considered among the sales of gharar (excessive uncertainty or risk) which are forbidden in Islamic law, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "He forbade the sale of gharar."
