The answer

If the recitation of the Qur’an, by means of vocal reverberation and melodious embellishment, exceeds the limit whereby its meaning can be understood, then this is unanimously considered unlawful. Furthermore, musical instruments are not permissible to play or listen to, whether or not they accompany the recitation of the Qur’an. Using them with the recitation is a form of disrespect towards the Book of Allah, and it is the Muslim's duty to change this reprehensible act.
