Prayer is one of the pillars of Islam, and it is obligatory for the sick and the sleeping, by the consensus of Muslims. The sleeper must be informed of the prayer time before its expiry. The sleeper must be woken up for Fajr prayer or any other, even if it is at the last moment, so that he can perform ablution and pray before sunrise, then he prays according to his condition. If you wake him up and sleep overcomes him, there is no blame upon you.
