The question

Should I conceal the matter of my sister who lost her virginity and repented, and is threatened with exposure, and help her remain steadfast, or inform my parents, with what may result from that of their devastation and fear of scandal when she marries or from those who are threatening her?

The answer

You must conceal your sister's situation and not inform anyone about what happened, based on the : "Whoever conceals a Muslim, Allah will conceal him on the Day of Resurrection," and the hadith: "O Hazzal, had you covered him with your garment, it would have been better for you."

The sister in question must completely shun those who threaten her, change her phone numbers, and occupy herself with sincere repentance, increasing in supererogatory prayers and charities, trusting that Allah will deflect theches of the treacherous away from her.

It is not permissible for her to inform her husband about what happened, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Avoid these abominations which Allah has forbidden. So, whoever commits any of them, let him conceal himself with Allah's concealment."

As for the matter of virginity, she should allude to other causes for its loss to her husband and use ambiguous language, such as a severe leap or a heavy menstruation.
