Must the wife obey her husband in performing Sunan and cleaning the children's teeth, and is she sinful for not doing so?

The wife's obedience to her husband is obligatory in what is good and reasonable, concerning marriage and its related matters, and it is limited to what does not harm or constitute a sin. Therefore, the wife must obey her husband in matters related to raising their young children. As for supererogatory acts of worship, her obedience to him in these is not obligatory, but rather it is strongly recommended. Sheikh Atiyah Saqr clarified that the extent of obedience ranges from obedience in everything she is commanded to do, to obedience limited by the bounds of capability and not contradicting religious law, to obedience in matters related to marital life such as intimacy, raising children, and serving the husband, but without including purely devotional acts. He favored the view that obedience is obligatory in matters related to marital life and recommended in other permissible matters that she is capable of.
