Must the ten vowed days for a student's success be fasted consecutively?

One who vowed to fast ten days upon his success must fulfill this vow, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him." If he did not stipulate consecutive fasting in his vow, he may fast them consecutively or separately, though consecutive fasting is better.
