What is the ruling on reading from the Mushaf with the Imam in Tarawih prayer, and is it counted as a second ختمة (complete recitation of the Quran)?

The fundamental principle is that the worshiper should follow their Imam and listen, in accordance with the verse: "And when the Qur’an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention." Holding the Mushaf (copy of the Qur’an) without necessity is not appropriate, as it leads to missing out on the sunan (practices) of prayer, such as placing the right hand over the left and looking at the place of prostration. Moreover, it causes preoccupation, involves turning pages, and prevents reflection. It has been forbidden to recite behind the Imam during loud recitations. One cannot combine recitation and listening, as Allah Almighty says: "Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his interior." However, if there is a need to hold the Mushaf to follow the Imam or correct his mistake, then there is no harm in that.
