It is not permissible to deposit money in interest-based banks as long as Islamic banks are available in your country.

Although there may be some forbidden dealings in Islamic banks, they are not comparable to interest-based banks which are founded on explicit usury. Islamic banks strive to provide permissible alternatives.

Money must be withdrawn from an interest-based bank and deposited in an Islamic bank. The inadequacy of services in an Islamic bank is not considered a justification for dealing with interest-based banks.
