Is it permissible for a Muslim taxi driver to transport a dog inside his car, and does the impurity of the dog affect him if it is close to him, and what is the ruling on purifying the car after the dog exits it, and how is purification performed if the dog licks something inside the car?

It is disliked to carry a dog in your car or allow it to be carried in it, due to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Angels do not accompany a group that has a dog or a bell." The angels here are angels of mercy and seeking forgiveness. Scholars differed regarding the meaning of "dog" in the hadith (definition), whether it refers to any dog مطلقًا (in general) or only to a dog whose keeping is not permitted. The impurity of a dog does not transfer merely by touching it if its body is dry; rather, its impurity transfers if it or what it touches is wet. Similarly, anything affected by its saliva, urine, or vomit becomes impure. The default state of things is purity, and there is no obligation to wash anything in the car unless you are certain that impurity has transferred to it. In such a case, the part affected by the impurity should be washed seven times, one of them with earth.
