What is the ruling on the saying of Allah Almighty, "And to parents do good" (and treat them with ihsan), regarding a daughter who severed ties with her sorcerer father, who harmed her and her family with polytheistic (kufr) sorcery?

Filial piety is obligatory even if the parents are disbelievers, and disobeying them or cutting ties with them is forbidden. The daughter must advise her father and treat him well, and it is not permissible for her to cut ties with him, even if he is a sorcerer. She must also guard against his harm by fortifying herself with the prescribed remembrances (adhkar) and supplications (du'a), and by avoiding the means he might use in sorcery.
