Is the intention behind the acceptance of a supplication from someone who possesses unlawful wealth the granting of reward for the supplication, taking into consideration the conflicting fatwas regarding its acceptance or rejection?

Eating what is unlawful is a reason for supplications not to be answered, yet Allah may answer the supplication of the one in dire need, even if he consumes what is unlawful. Moreover, some scholars are of the view that the lack of response is specific to those who persist in eating what is unlawful.
