What is the ruling on not fulfilling a vow made to God to abandon anger towards one's mother, knowing that there was a valid excuse for the anger and that the vow was made in front of the Kaaba?

Raising one's voice at parents is an act of disobedience (ʿuqūq) forbidden by Islamic law, and one must repent from it and seek forgiveness from the mother. To manage anger, it is recommended to seek refuge in Allah (istiʿādhah), perform ablution (wuḍūʾ), and change one's posture. A promise is not an oath (yamīn), and failing to fulfill it does not incur expiation (kaffārah). However, in this case, the promise to refrain from raising one's voice at the mother must be fulfilled to avoid committing a sin.
