Does God address people through signs, and how can we be sure that our choices (such as profession, marriage, and place) align with His will, with a request for clarification of the verse: "And it is not for any human being that God should speak to him except by inspiration or from behind a veil or by sending a messenger to reveal by His permission what He wills, for He is Most High, Most Wise"?

To Allah, the Exalted, belongs profound wisdom and intricate secrets in His creation. He bestowed upon humanity free will and intellect to distinguish between good and evil, yet the intellect is limited in comprehending unseen dimensions. Therefore, Allah honored humanity with the light of guidance, which comes in two forms: 1. The Light of Prophethood (Revelation): This is definitive, true, and certain, connecting the people of Earth with the heavens and rectifying the course of humanity. It manifests as the casting of revelation into the heart, or speech from behind a veil, or the dispatch of an angelic messenger. The cessation of revelation with the passing of the Prophet, peace be upon him, was a momentous event. 2. The Light of Signs and Indications: These are reminders Allah places in the hearts of His servants or in the creation and governance around them, to awaken reflection and contemplation. People vary in their understanding of these, and they can be a cause for guidance or misguidance. They are like a "discourse" from Allah, such as gray hair, which is considered a warning.

These signs aim to rectify one's journey towards Allah and remind the soul of accountability, not to fulfill worldly desires. The divine light is intended for guidance to true happiness in the Hereafter.

There are no specific signs for the correctness of daily life choices except observing Allah's rulings, the intention and purpose in seeking His pleasure, and adherence to the Sharia. If you hold your intention for Allah's sake, and are patient and steadfast, then everything Allah wills for you is good. The affair of the believer is all good; if ease befalls him, he is grateful, and if hardship befalls him, he is patient.

Do not prolong your thinking about Allah's intention from the stages of your life. Instead, busy yourself with upholding Allah's boundaries in every experience, seeking your reward from Him, and making it a station of goodness for humanity and servitude to Allah. At that point, everything in this world will transform into good and grace for you, even calamities and trials.
