What is the Sharia ruling regarding a young man whose parents expelled him from the home, beat him, and accused him and his wife of attempting to spoil his sister's wedding?

Parents hold a great status in Islam; their rights are immense, and obedience and dutifulness towards them are obligatory, while being undutiful to them is one of the gravest sins. The friend must reconnect with his parents and repent to Allah for estranging himself from them. Parents hitting their son or expelling him does not justify estrangement on his part. He should be advised, and efforts should be made to reconcile him with his parents, as reconciliation between people is one of the greatest acts of devotion. As for their accusation that he and his wife are trying to ruin his sister's marriage, if they indeed did something of that nature without a valid Sharia-compliant reason, then they must repent and seek forgiveness.
