What is the Sharia ruling and the optimal course of action in light of the father's repeated threats of expulsion and verbal abuse towards his family, and is the father entitled to expel his wife and children, especially a minor?

A husband must treat his wife and children with kindness, and he is not permitted to oppress them or deprive them of their rights to maintenance and housing, as this is forbidden by Islamic law. Maintenance and housing are obligatory upon the father for his minor children and unmarried daughters who have no wealth. The Hanbalis are of the view that a son's maintenance is obligatory upon his father if the son is poor, even if he is an adult and healthy. Children must honor their father, treat him with kindness, and accompany him with good conduct, even if he oppresses them. The father is advised to fear Allah and give rights to those who are entitled to them. The children are advised to seek their rights from their father with wisdom and gentleness, and to seek assistance from someone who holds a position of respect with him.
