What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a father's treatment of his son and depriving him of his rights despite the son's kindness to him, and is it permissible for a father to disown his son, his wife, and his children and expel them from his house?

May Allah reward you for your kindness to your father, and we ask Allah to place it in the balance of your good deeds.

Your father's sale of the house, the majority of which was from your own money, is not permissible. Your money is not owned by anyone but you, and your father has no right to it as long as he is wealthy.

Your father's mistreatment of you, your children, and your husband is forbidden. Allah has commanded good treatment of children.

Your father must return your greeting, and his failure to do so is sinful.

His abandonment of you and your children is forbidden. It is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three days, and the prohibition increases if it is among relatives.

Your father's spending of his money on his in-laws is permissible, as long as he does not intend to harm you and deprive you of inheritance.

We advise you to be dutiful to your father no matter what he does, for disobedience to him is not permissible. The father is the middle gate of Paradise, and disobedience is one of the gravest sins.

Your father's actions of abandonment, squandering money, and mistreatment are reprehensible acts from which he must repent.

Our advice to you: advise him, warn him, be patient with him, respond to ill-treatment with kindness, pray for his guidance, and seek assistance from those whose words he listens to, so they may advise him.
