Is it permissible to hate one's father who neglected to care for his children and deprived them of their rights, causing them suffering? And do the children have the right to not communicate with him, despite the wealth he possesses but did not spend on them?

The father must spend reasonably on his non-disobedient wife and on his young, unmarried children, and on those who have no wealth. He is sinful if he neglects this. He is not legally obligated to marry off his children, although some scholars believe it is obligatory to marry off those among them for whom he is responsible to support. You must accompany the father with kindness and maintain ties with him even if he cuts you off, in compliance with Allah’s command. If he does not respond to your call and you maintain ties with him, it is permissible to refer the matter to the Sharia court to compel him to fulfill his duty, without this being considered an act of disobedience.
