What is the ruling on prayer and ablution when there is a discharge of vaginal moisture? And is the prayer of one who follows the opinion of Imam Malik in this matter accepted for the sake of ease, not conviction? And is the Hadith "My Ummah will not agree upon error" authentic, and does it relate to the opinion of the majority of jurists?

Vaginal discharges are pure, and one is not required to perform istinja (definition)' (ablution with water after urinating or defecating) from them, but they do necessitate wudu' (ablution). Whoever is afflicted with continuous vaginal discharge should perform wudu' for each prayer after its time has begun. It is permissible to follow the Maliki school of thought in this matter if the need arises. It is permissible to adopt the concessions of scholars when there is a need, as long as it does not become a habit. If a layperson is confused by differing scholarly opinions, they should follow the one they trust among them. Whoever is not knowledgeable in Hadith (definition) should follow the trustworthy Imams in what they have authenticated. The Hadith "My Ummah will not agree upon an error" has been deemed hasan (definition) (good) by some scholars, and it indicates that consensus (ijma') cannot be contradicted. The saying of the majority is not an argument unless it is an undisputed consensus.
