What can I do for God to be pleased with me and for the calamities pursuing me to stop, and why do some women who have not repented live a life of luxury?

Since you have repented and are steadfast in truth, rejoice in that. Know that what Allah has decreed is good for you if you are pleased and seek reward [from Him], for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Wondrous is the affair of the believer, for there is good in all his affairs..." This life is a test with good and evil, so we advise you to be patient and pleased with Allah's decree and destiny, for Allah Almighty says: "And give good tidings to the patient," and "Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account." Do not be deceived by the fleeting pleasures of the disobedient, for piety and obedience to Allah are what endure. A Muslim is required to strive for treatment and solve problems, but if afflicted by a calamity or failure, he must be pleased and patient, seeking reward [from Allah].
