Is the income of a husband who works for a company that collects money for banks, and receives a percentage of the amounts collected from defaulting clients, unlawful (haram) or usury (riba)?

The fatwa can be summarized as follows: if the debts the husband is working to collect are for Islamic banks, then there is no harm in what he receives in return. However, if the debts are for usurious banks, then it is not permissible for him to work in collecting them.
