Is it permissible for a displaced person residing in the mosque to have intercourse with his wife there, regardless of whether he is able to rent accommodation outside of it or not?

Sexual intercourse in a mosque is forbidden and considered a grave sin due to its extreme indecency and violation of the mosque's sanctity. If the rooms are part of the mosque's building and share its sacred status, then sexual intercourse within them is not permissible. However, if they are separate from it, they do not hold the same status as the mosque. Scholars have differed on whether a room inside a mosque is considered part of it or not, and it is more prudent for one performing i'tikaf (spiritual retreat) not to consider it part of the mosque.
