Can a human being nullify the deeds of another?

The intent behind the question "invalidating the work of others" is not clear. However, if the المقصود is for a person to be a cause for the invalidation of another's deeds, this is possible by leading others to polytheism (shirk) and disbelief (kufr), such that they die upon it, thereby invalidating their deeds. This is in accordance with the Almighty's saying: {If you associate others with Allah, your work will surely become worthless, and you will surely be among the losers} (Az-Zumar: 65). As for the common superstitions that a righteous person can invalidate the deeds of others, this is false and a deception from Iblis.
