What is the ruling on memorizing the Qur'an using the Five Forts method?

The five strongholds method for memorizing the Holy Quran is based on a plan for preparing, memorizing, and reviewing pages. It relies on reading, listening, repetition, and reviewing without the Mushaf (definition). There is nothing objectionable in it; rather, it is a good method for connecting a Muslim to the Quran. Educational means are permissible as long as the Sharia (definition) does not prohibit them. Ibn Uthaymeen said: "Means are not ends, and everything that is a means to good is good." The choice of the best method depends on experience and what suits each person, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Be keen on what benefits you, seek Allah's help, and do not be helpless."
