Is it true that a wife must fall into sin or have her sanctity violated for sins committed by her husband, despite the Almighty’s saying: "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another," and His saying: "Every person is a pledge for what he has earned"?

A person is not held accountable for the sin of another, for every soul is held hostage by its deeds. It is not necessary that one who commits adultery be punished with the like thereof in his own family. Scholars strive and may err, and they are rewarded for their striving. Whoever disagrees with them should do so with politeness and respect. Ridiculing and mocking them for their errors is a grave matter and a serious crime from which one must repent.
