What is the jurisprudential ruling regarding blood discharged by a woman after her usual menstruation, given that her uterus is healthy and this is the first time such a disturbance has occurred?

If a woman has verified her purity (from menstruation), then whatever descends after that by a week is not considered menstruation, because the minimum period of purity between two menstruations is fifteen days. This blood is istihadah (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding), and the woman should sit for the duration of her usual menstrual period (e.g., six days) and then perform ghusl (ritual bath). This blood invalidates ablution, so she should perform ablution for the time of each prayer after binding the affected area, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying to Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh: "That is but a vein, but leave prayer for the number of days you used to menstruate, then perform ghusl and pray."
