Is working in the electronic payment gateway department, which acts as an intermediary between banks (Islamic and usurious) and credit card companies and various service providers (e-governments, shopping, travel services), permissible?

It is permissible for the questioner to work in electronic payment gateways if his work is free from usury and other Sharia prohibitions, and he does not assist in them, even if the company he deals with engages in usury. What matters is the questioner's own work. However, if working in electronic payment gateways is not free from assisting in usury through dealing with usurious banks and credit card companies that include usurious clauses, then it is not permissible for the questioner to work in this field. This is because it is not permissible to participate in preparing a program that is known to be used in a prohibited act, in accordance with His (Allah's) saying, "And cooperate not in sin and aggression" (Al-Ma'idah: 2). The rule is that means have the same rulings as their ends.
