Is there a sin upon the spouses due to the wife's father refusing to communicate with his daughter after she chose her husband and left to live with him?

A woman is not sinful for displeasing her father if she obeys her husband in what is good, for obedience to the husband takes precedence over obedience to parents. She must strive to appease her father with kind words, gifts, communication, and prayers for him. It must be noted that it is not permissible for a woman to travel a long distance alone, except out of necessity or extreme need.
