Does the reward for prayer increase with an increase in the number of worshippers? Are twenty-two people rewarded the same as a larger number? Is supplication accepted when the number is larger?

Congregational prayer is hoped to earn the Muslim the reward of congregational prayer, even if there are only two worshippers. The majority of scholars believe that the reward of congregational prayer increases with the number of worshippers, citing the hadith (definition): "And a man's prayer with another man is purer than his prayer alone, and his prayer with two men is purer than his prayer with one man, and whatever is more is more beloved to Allah Almighty." While some jurists believe that there is no superiority of one congregation over another, citing the hadith: "Congregational prayer is superior to individual prayer by twenty-seven degrees." The opinion of the majority is more preponderant due to the explicit text. There is no legitimate evidence to prove that the acceptance of supplication is more likely with an increase in the number of worshippers, but an increase in number may increase the probability of there being someone whose supplication is answered.
