Would the questioner be considered disobedient to her husband if she refused to give him money to buy hashish, and what should she do to please him?

The prohibition of narcotics is established, and it is not permissible for a wife to financially assist her husband in purchasing them, otherwise, she would be a partner in sin; based on Allah's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." The wife is not considered disobedient by refraining from doing so for two reasons: First, she is not obligated to spend her money on him. Second, obedience to the creation is conditioned upon what is right and good, "Obedience is only in what is right." The wife must advise her husband and warn him of Allah's punishment if he does not repent, and seek help from booklets and tapes that clarify the ruling on narcotics and their harms.
